Ingredients
- 1 baked pie shell
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 qt. strawberries
- 1 c. water
- 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- whipped cream
Method
- Crush 1 cup berries thoroughly.
- Add 1 cup water; bring to a boil.
- Mix sugar and cornstarch with a little water; stir into the boiling berries.
- Cook for 3 minutes, until clear.
- Cool.
- Place remaining berries in pie shell.
- Pour lukewarm mixture over berries; place in refrigerator until cornstarch mixture sets. Before serving, cover with whipped cream.
