Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie shell
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 qt. strawberries
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • whipped cream

Method

  • Crush 1 cup berries thoroughly.
  • Add 1 cup water; bring to a boil.
  • Mix sugar and cornstarch with a little water; stir into the boiling berries.
  • Cook for 3 minutes, until clear.
  • Cool.
  • Place remaining berries in pie shell.
  • Pour lukewarm mixture over berries; place in refrigerator until cornstarch mixture sets. Before serving, cover with whipped cream.
