Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Sourdough bread
  • 1 pound Cheddar cheese
  • 8 to 12 Eggs
  • 12 strips of Bacon
  • 1 cup Milk
  • Butter to grease the pan

Method

  • Cut a loaf of sourdough into 1 inch squares.
  • Fry the bacon, drain and break into small pieces.
  • Coarsely grate 2 cups of Cheddar cheese
  • Mix 8 to 12 eggs and the crumbled bacon with the bread chunks.
  • Add and mix 1 & 1/2 cups of previously grated cheddar cheese
  • Place into a pyrex dish previously greased with butter.
  • Add 1 cup of milk into a pyrex dish and place in the refrigerator over night
  • In the morning before serving, bake for 40 minuted in a 350 degree oven or until slightly brown on top. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on the dish just prior to serving.
