Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 to 3 lb. fryer
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of celery soup or mushroom soup
  • 1 soup can hot water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • pepper

Method

  • Cut
  • chicken

  • frying pieces.
  • Pour soup and water into large saucepan.
  • Add chicken and a dash of pepper.
  • Cover and simmer until tender, about 1 hour.
  • Add butter during last 10 minutes of cooking.
