Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Thinly sliced onions
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 1/2 cup Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp And a splash of cooking sherry
  • 1 Salt and pepper

Method

  • Mix together beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper, onion and garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce.
  • Form into 8 balls and flatten into patties.
  • Heat oil in medium heat.
  • Fry patties and onions about 4 min each side.
  • Remove patties and put on a side.
  • Pour flour into onions and beef drippings.
  • Stir.
  • Slowly pour beef broth and cooking sherry in.
  • Stir.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Let simmer for 5 min until gravy is thickened.
  • Return patties to pan, cover and let simmer on low for 15 min.
