- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 cup Thinly sliced onions
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 1/2 cup Beef broth
- 1 tbsp And a splash of cooking sherry
- 1 Salt and pepper
Method
- Mix together beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper, onion and garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce.
- Form into 8 balls and flatten into patties.
- Heat oil in medium heat.
- Fry patties and onions about 4 min each side.
- Remove patties and put on a side.
- Pour flour into onions and beef drippings.
- Stir.
- Slowly pour beef broth and cooking sherry in.
- Stir.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Let simmer for 5 min until gravy is thickened.
- Return patties to pan, cover and let simmer on low for 15 min.
