Ingredients
- 1 white onion
- 1 1/2 lb. yellow squash, cut
- 3 slices bread, toasted
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of white pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Peel and cut onion.
- Cook with cut squash until tender.
- Run toasted bread through food chopper with squash and onion.
- Mix all ingredients except half the bread crumbs, which are to be browned in 1 tablespoon butter.
- Pour into greased baking dish with buttered crumbs on top and bake at 350° about 40 minutes.
- Serves 6 to 8.
