Ingredients
- 2 c. boiling milk
- 2/3 c. corn meal
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 beaten egg yolks
- 3 stiffly beaten egg whites
Method
- Sift corn meal into boiling milk.
- Stir constantly over low heat until milk and meal are just blended and thickened.
- Beat in mayonnaise and salt.
- Cool; don't chill.
- Add beaten egg yolks and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Grease medium casserole in the bottom and part way up the sides.
- Pour in mixture and bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
- Serves 6.
