Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. dill weed
  • 1/8 tsp. hot pepper flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 12 oz. beer
  • 1 lb. green beans, cut into 2-inch lengths
  • 1/2 c. chopped parsley

Method

  • Saute the onion in the margarine for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the herbs, spices and beer.
  • Bring to a boil and boil briskly for 3 minutes.
  • Add the beans and cook, uncovered, for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the liquid has almost evaporated.
  • Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
