Ingredients
- 16 oz. can peach halves
- 16 oz. can pear halves
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. whole cloves
Method
- Drain fruit and reserve 1/2 cup syrup.
- Combine this syrup and add vinegar, cinnamon, cloves and sugar.
- Bring to boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
- Add fruit and simmer 15 minutes, turning fruit occasionally.
- Chill.
