Ingredients
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- about 35 caramels
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped up
Method
- Melt caramels in top of a double boiler with the margarine and milk.
- Stir and set aside.
- Mix cake mix according to package directions.
- Pour 1/2 of this batter into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 20 minutes at 350°.
- When baked, pour caramel mixture over evenly and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over caramel layer.
- Put nuts on top of chips.
- Add remaining batter and bake for 30 more minutes at 350°.
- Cut in bars when cooled.
