Ingredients

  • 2 cups candied pecans
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted

Method

  • In 375°F oven, roast 2 cups pecans on a baking sheet, stirring once, until toasted, about 8 minutes. Stir together 1 Tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper in a cup. Transfer hot nuts to a large bowl. Drizzle 2 Tbsp. melted butter on top and toss well. Sprinkle sugar mixture on top and toss again. Let cool completely (mixture will harden). Yields 2 cups.
