Ingredients
- 2 (29 oz.) cans peach halves
- 1 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. cider vinegar
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tsp. whole cloves
- maraschino cherries (optional)
Method
- Drain peaches; reserve syrup.
- Mix with other ingredients. Bring to boil; lower temperature and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour hot syrup over peaches.
- Add maraschino cherries if desired (makes it pretty).
- Cool; chill in the refrigerator before serving.
- A good dish to prepare a day or so before serving.
- Good served with turkey, ham or roast.
