Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 c. shelled whole almonds or pecans
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • salt to taste

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • Mix spices in a bowl; set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over low heat.
  • Add the spice mixture, stirring well.
  • Add the nuts and stir well to coat thoroughly, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Spread nuts on a cookie sheet.
  • Bake 15 minutes, tossing once.
