Ingredients

  • Salsa
  • 1/2 C hot jalapeno jelly
  • 3 TBS fresh line juice
  • 2 1/2 C chopped peeled pitted mango
  • 1 1/4 C chopped red bell pepper
  • 3/4 C chopped red onion
  • 1/3 C chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno chili, minced
  • BEEF
  • 1 TBS cinnamon
  • 1 TBS ground coriander
  • 1 TBS sugar
  • 1 TBS paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 12 4-oz beef tenderloin steaks
  • Olive oil

Method

  • For Salsa: Whisk jelly and lime juice in a large bowl. Mix in all remaining ingredients. Season to taste with salt and pepper. (Can be made 2 hours ahead. Cover and chill)
  • For BEEF: Mix first 6 ingredients in a small bowl. Brush both sides of steaks with oil. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp spice mixture over each side of each steak.
  • Prepare BBQ (medium-high heat.) Grill steaks to desired doneness, about 2 minutes per side for medium-rare. Serve, passing salsa separately
