Ingredients

  • 2 c. warm water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 6 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. shortening

Method

  • Combine water, yeast and sugar.
  • Stir until dissolved.
  • Add salt and 2 cups of flour.
  • Beat for 2 minutes; add eggs and shortening.
  • Beat for 1 minute.
  • Blend in rest of flour.
  • Cover and let rise in warm place for 20 minutes, then roll out and make rolls.
  • Let rise again, then bake in 325° oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on top.
