Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. spareribs
- 3 medium potatoes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/3 c. water
Method
- Have spareribs cut Chinese style 1 1/2-inch pieces.
- Pare potatoes and cube as for stew.
- Brown spareribs; add potatoes, salt, hoisin sauce, sugar and water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Lower heat and simmer 25 minutes.
- (Add more water if necessary.)
- Gravy will be made by itself without thickening.
- Serve with rice.
