Ingredients

  • 1 stick Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 pound Mild Sausage
  • 4 teaspoons Italian Seasoning (dried)
  • 2 teaspoons Rosemary, Dried
  • 1- 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • 2 teaspoons Salt (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
  • 29 ounces, fluid Tomato Puree
  • 18 ounces, fluid Tomato Paste

Method

  • Grap a really big pot.
  • Really big.
  • Melt the butter along with the olive oil, chopped garlic and chopped onion.
  • Add the ground beef and sausage.
  • Cook until meat is no longer pink and is crumbly.
  • Add the spices.
  • Let simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Add the tomato puree and two cans of water.
  • Add the tomato paste and one can of water.
  • Let cook on low for two hours or longer.
  • The longer this cooks, the better!
