- 1 stick Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 whole Onion
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1 pound Mild Sausage
- 4 teaspoons Italian Seasoning (dried)
- 2 teaspoons Rosemary, Dried
- 1- 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
- 2 teaspoons Salt (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoons Pepper
- 29 ounces, fluid Tomato Puree
- 18 ounces, fluid Tomato Paste
Method
- Grap a really big pot.
- Really big.
- Melt the butter along with the olive oil, chopped garlic and chopped onion.
- Add the ground beef and sausage.
- Cook until meat is no longer pink and is crumbly.
- Add the spices.
- Let simmer for about 20 minutes.
- Add the tomato puree and two cans of water.
- Add the tomato paste and one can of water.
- Let cook on low for two hours or longer.
- The longer this cooks, the better!
