- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 2 cans tomato paste
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- mushrooms (optional)
- sausage (optional)
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 to 1 green pepper
Method
- Saute onion, garlic and green pepper in oil.
- Add meat and salt.
- Brown the meat until cooked thoroughly.
- Add tomato paste and tomatoes.
- If needed, add water if sauce is too thick.
- Add oregano.
- Simmer on low heat for several hours.
- Serve with spaghetti or other types of pasta.
