- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, cut-up
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 1/4 c. snipped parsley
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
- 1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
- 1 bay leaf
Method
- In Dutch oven, combine onion, meat and garlic; cook until meat is browned and onion tender.
- Skim off excess fat, remaining ingredients and 2 cups water.
