Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 tsp. prepared mustard
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 2 c. milk
- 2 c. shrimp
- cayenne pepper (ground)
- 1/4 lb. spaghetti (4 oz.)
Method
- Melt shortening, flour and salt.
- Stir until smooth.
- Add milk gradually.
- Stir and cook until thick.
- Add cayenne pepper, mustard, lemon juice and mayonnaise.
- Remove from heat.
- Add cleaned shrimp to hot sauce.
- Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water until tender.
- Drain spaghetti.
- Place on platter.
- Cover with hot shrimp sauce.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
- Serves 4.
