- 3/4 lb. Italian sausage (hot or mild or ground beef)
- 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes, broken up
- 3/4 tsp. dried oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
- 1/2 c. spaghetti, broken
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/3 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. each salt and pepper
- 3/4 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
Method
- Remove sausage from casing.
- Brown in a 9 or 10-inch skillet (or any oven-safe skillet).
- Drain all but 1 tablespoon fat.
- Stir in onion, green peppers and garlic.
- Saute 5 minutes.
