Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie shell
- 3 eggs (small or medium)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
- 1/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 c. dark Karo syrup
- 1 or 1 1/2 c. pecan halves
Method
- Melt butter and chocolate in double boiler; add sugar and salt and stir.
- Add 3 beaten eggs, syrup and vanilla. Mix in pecans. Pour into pie shell; bake at 350° for 55 minutes or until set and browned.
