Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 tbsp. shortening
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
Method
- Sift together flour, baking pwdr, baking soda and salt.
- Cut in shortening with a pastry blender.
- Stir in buttermilk.
- Form mix into a ball.
- Place on floured covered board and knead lightly.
- Roll out into 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut with a small biscuit cutter.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a 450 degree preheated oven about 8-10 min.
- Leftover biscuits are great the next day sliced in half, buttered and put under the broiler for a few min.
- Makes 24 small biscuits.
