Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 c. sour cream (8 oz.)
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 egg yolks
- 5 beaten egg whites
- 3 c. cake flour, sifted
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Blend butter and sour cream.
- Slowly add sugar.
- Add 1 egg yolk at a time while mixing.
- Add cake flour, baking soda and vanilla.
- Fold in egg whites (beaten stiff).
- Bake at 325° in a tube pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes or bake in 2 loaf pans for 30 to 45 minutes.
