- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
- 2 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. chopped green onion
- 1/4 tsp. garlic butter
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Method
- Cook noodles until tender.
- Rinse in cold water and drain. Brown meat.
- Add peppers, garlic, onion and tomato sauce.
- Simmer slowly for 5 minutes.
- Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and noodles.
- Alternate layers of noodles and meat in a 2-quart greased casserole dish.
- Begin with noodles and finish with meat on top.
- Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
