Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. chopped green onion
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic butter
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Method

  • Cook noodles until tender.
  • Rinse in cold water and drain. Brown meat.
  • Add peppers, garlic, onion and tomato sauce.
  • Simmer slowly for 5 minutes.
  • Combine cottage cheese, sour cream and noodles.
  • Alternate layers of noodles and meat in a 2-quart greased casserole dish.
  • Begin with noodles and finish with meat on top.
  • Top with shredded cheese.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
