Ingredients

  • 1 c. olive oil
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 Tbsp. basil
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Method

  • Make a marinade of ingredients.
  • Wipe steaks with marinade. Let them soak 2 to 3 hours refrigerated or 45 minutes at room temperature.
  • Turn several times to make sure steaks are well coated.
  • Cook about 4 inches above coals for 5 to 6 minutes. Turn; baste and cook another 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Baste again with pastry brush before removing from grill.
