Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. jello (any fruit flavor)
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. light cream
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Method

  • Dissolve jello, sugar and salt in boiling water.
  • Stir in light cream and vanilla (mixture will look curdled, but will become smooth).
  • Stir is sour cream.
  • Chill until slightly thickened.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Pour into a 3 or 4-cup ring mold. Chill until firm; unmold.
  • Serve with fruit if desired.
  • Makes 3 cups or 6 servings.
