Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice uncooked
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method

  • In a coffee grinder, grind rice to the consistency of cornmeal or finer. (Update) I used a blender (Oster) to grind the rice with better results. Mix rice flour with cheese in a medium bowl
  • In a saucepan over medium heat mix water, salt and butter and bring to a boil. Lower the temp and add the rice-cheese and mix until a soft dough is form. Remove from heat and let it cool down.
  • Place a 11/2 tbsp of dough in your hand and roll it to form a 3 inch stick. Deep-fry until golden. Dry in paper towel.
