Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 4 whole scallions, chopped (optional)
Method
- Combine dry ingredients and scallions; mix oil and buttermilk well.
- Slowly add liquid until it forms a ball.
- Remove dough; knead 3 or 4 minutes until smooth.
- Form into 2 round loaves. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
