Ingredients
- 1 pkg. Knox unflavored gelatine
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Method
- Soak gelatine in milk for 5 minutes.
- Cook over low flame until gelatine is dissolved, then add sugar.
- Remove from heat and slowly add beaten egg yolks.
- Return to heat until you notice a slight thickening similar to cream.
- Remove from heat and stir in salt and vanilla.
- Add 3 stiffly beaten egg whites.
- Stir well and refrigerate.
- The pudding will separate into a layer of custard with a frothy (snowy) layer on top.
