Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 3/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. light molasses
- 1/2 c. moist cut coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Method
- Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Blend together the Crisco and sugar, creaming well. Add the egg and molasses.
- Beat well. Blend in the dry ingredients gradually.
- Mix thoroughly. Add the coconut and pecans or walnuts.
- Mix well. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake in moderate oven at 375° for 6 to 7 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheets.
- Makes 3 dozen cookies.
