Ingredients

  • 1 lb. smoked sausage
  • 4 to 5 medium potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small cabbage
  • 2 to 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 c. boiling water
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • paprika

Method

  • Cut up sausage.
  • Pare and slice potatoes.
  • Place potatoes in large skillet.
  • Slice onion and place in layer over potatoes.
  • Add layer of thinly sliced cabbage.
  • Add butter and salt to boiling water, stirring to melt.
  • Pour over vegetables.
  • Place pieces of sausage on top and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover tightly and cook on low for 22 to 25 minutes or until vegetables are done.
  • Sprinkle with paprika.
