Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz.) box Raisin Bran
- 1 c. melted shortening or oil
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 5 c. flour
- 5 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. salt
Method
- Mix Raisin Bran, sugar, flour, soda and salt in large bowl. Add eggs, shortening and buttermilk.
- Mix well.
- Store in covered container in refrigerator to use as needed.
- Keeps up to 6 weeks. Fill muffin tins that have been coated with shortening 2/3 full. Bake in preheated oven at 375° to 400° for 15 to 20 minutes. Makes 5 dozen muffins depending on size of muffin tin.
