- 3 lbs shrimp, peel on
- 5 garlic cloves, peeled
- 6 whole allspice
- 1 dried red hot pepper
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 6 sprigs fresh parsley
- 2 sprigs fresh dill
- 1 (12 ounce) can beer
- 14 lb butter
- 12 lemon, juice of
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 garlic clove, lightly crushed
Method
- Combine ingredients (to and including beer) in a heavy saucepan and cover.
- Bring to boil and let simmer 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Serve with lemon butter.
- Lemon Butter: In a small skillet, heat butter until hot and almost bubbling.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and serve.
