Ingredients

  • 3 lbs shrimp, peel on
  • 5 garlic cloves, peeled
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 1 dried red hot pepper
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 2 sprigs fresh dill
  • 1 (12 ounce) can beer
  • 14 lb butter
  • 12 lemon, juice of
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, lightly crushed

Method

  • Combine ingredients (to and including beer) in a heavy saucepan and cover.
  • Bring to boil and let simmer 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Serve with lemon butter.
  • Lemon Butter: In a small skillet, heat butter until hot and almost bubbling.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients and serve.
