Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon crushed ginger (optional)
- 1 whole broiler-fryer chicken, cut up
Method
- Mix all liquid ingredients well and pour over chicken in skillet.
- Fry on medium heat until chicken looks done in the middle; about 30-40 minutes.
- Serve over white or brown rice.
- Spoon some of the sauce over rice as desired.
- Add cut-up orange slices to skillet for some orange flavor if desired.
- Any combination of chicken parts will work for this recipe.
