Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. beef shortribs, cut 2 to 3-inch lengths
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
Method
- Place shortribs on broiler pan.
- Broil until well browned to remove excess fat.
- Transfer to slow cooker.
- Saute onion in butter until limp and golden.
- Pour in ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and soy sauce.
- Heat until blended.
- Pour over ribs.
- Cover. Cook on low setting 8 hours.
- Makes 4 servings.
