Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 onion
  • 5 or 6 potatoes
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • milk
  • 1 c. Minute rice
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped green pepper

Method

  • Brown hamburger and onion; drain.
  • Season to taste.
  • Place in layers sliced raw potatoes about 1-inch thick in bottom of large casserole bowl.
  • Combine tomato soup, 1/2 soup can milk, chopped celery, chopped green pepper and uncooked Minute rice.
  • Pour half of mixture over potato slices.
  • Layer half of hamburger mixture, tomato mixture and remaining hamburger.
  • Top with thin layer of potato slices.
  • Cover.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Serves 6 to 8 people.
  • Just as good the second day.
