- 6 (1-inch thick) pork chops
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 cooking apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. dry sherry
- 1/2 c. orange juice
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
Method
- Brown chops in oil.
- Drain pan drippings.
- Place chopped apples and onion on top of chops.
- Combine sherry and next 4 ingredients.
- Pour over chops.
- Cover; reduce heat and simmer 1 hour or until chops are tender.
- Put chops on serving plate.
