Ingredients
- 1/2 cups Bottled Cheese Spread (Cheez Whiz)
- 2 teaspoons Chopped And Seeded Canned Chipotle Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Each Of Salt And Pepper
- 2 teaspoons Packed Brown Sugar
- 1 package (397g Package) Puff Pastry, Thawed But Cold
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Water
Method
- Note: double the above ingredients if using 2 sheets of puff pastry.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a bowl mix together the cheese spread, chipotle pepper, salt, pepper and sugar.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pastry sheet to 14 x 11 inches.
- Spread mixture evenly over the pastry.
- Starting at the long end, roll up and then put in the freezer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Remove from the freezer and trim ends.
- Cut into 1/2-inch slices and place cut side down on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
- Brush tops lightly with egg and water mixture.
- Bake 15-17 minutes till golden.
