Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. candied pineapple
  • 3/4 lb. candied cherries (red and green)
  • 2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs, flour and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Grease and flour the pan.
  • Spread nuts on bottom of pan. Pour batter over nuts and press in.
  • Mix chopped fruits together. Sprinkle over batter and press in.
  • Bake for 1 hour at 250° in 11 x 15 x 2-inch pan.
  • Cut when cool.
