Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Combine egg whites, syrup, sugar and salt in upper part of double boiler.
  • Beat with rotary beater until partially mixed. Set pan over rapidly boiling water.
  • Cook 7 minutes, beating constantly, with a rotary beater until frosting stand in peaks. Remove pan from hot water.
  • Add flavoring.
  • Beat into mix well. Makes enough to cover top and sides of 2 round 8 or 9-inch layers.
