Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef flank steak
  • 1/4 c. toasted sesame seed
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. each: ground coriander, ginger and chili powder
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 c. hot cooked rice

Method

  • Slice beef thinly across the grain.
  • In shallow bowl, mix sesame seed, flour and spices.
  • Dip beef strips into broth, then toss in flour mixture.
  • Set aside.
  • Heat oil in wok or nonstick skillet until hot.
  • Add onion and pepper; saute for 2 minutes. Add mushrooms; continue cooking 1 minute longer.
  • Add beef.
  • Cook, stirring constantly, about 2 to 3 minutes.
