Ingredients
- 2/3 c. corn syrup
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 lb. Brazil nuts
- 3/4 lb. walnuts
- 2/3 c. raisins
- 1 c. citron, diced
- 5 egg whites, beaten
- 1 c. figs
Method
- Mix syrup, sugar and
- water and boil.
- Spread on cake layers. Beat egg whites; put syrup over fruit and nuts.
- Boil raisins 10 or 15 minutes.
- Drain.
- Pour syrup over raisins.
- Add fruit and nuts.
- Add egg whites last.
