- 1 1/2 c. dried apricots
- 1 c. dried prunes
- 1 c. dried apples
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp. ground cardamon
- 1/3 c. quick tapioca
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. currants
- 1 tsp. salt
- sour cream
Method
- Dice first 3 ingredients and cover in large pot with 10 cups of water and stand 30 minutes.
- Add the next 4 ingredients.
- Bring to a boil; stir and scrape bottom.
- Simmer, stirring 10 minutes. Add currants, raisins and salt and allow to cool.
- To thin, dilute with apple juice and serve garnished with sour cream.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
