Ingredients

  • Tomato Sauce (recipe follows)
  • lasagna noodles
  • 3/4 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 lb. grated Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg

Method

  • Make tomato sauce.
  • Cook lasagna noodles according to directions; drain.
  • Place in layers in 13 x 9-inch oblong pan, beginning and ending with tomato sauce.
  • Layer sauce, single layer of noodles and a mixture of last 6 ingredients.
  • Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
  • Let stand 15 minutes.
  • Cut in squares and serve with meatballs, if desired.
  • Serves 6 to 8.
