Ingredients

  • 8 to 10 potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • chopped onion or onion powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 2 c. ham (approximately, leftover works well)
  • milk
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • margarine

Method

  • Butter a casserole dish.
  • Layer half the potatoes, salt and pepper, onion and ham and dot with margarine.
  • Repeat layers. Slowly pour in milk just to the top of the potatoes.
  • Mix 1 cup milk with 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and pour into casserole. Cover with foil and bake at 350° about 1 1/2 hours or until potatoes are tender.
