Ingredients
- 4 strips bacon
- 1 lg. onion
- 1 c. celery
- 1 green pepper
- Salt & pepper
- 2 cans green beans
- 1/2 pound American grated cheese
- 1 can tomatoes
Method
- Fry bacon.
- Remove bacon and saute/fry onions in bacon fat.
- Add in celery, green pepper, tomatoes, salt and pepper.
- Cook, covered, on lowest heat for 1 hour.
- Add in cheese.
- Place liquid removed beans in casserole dish.
- Crumble bacon over beans and pour sauce on top.
- Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- Serves 12 people.
