Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 can tomatoes (regular size, solid)
- 2 tsp. dried parsley
- 2 plastic bags Swiss chard
Method
- Brown bacon in large pot (5-quart pot).
- Add sliced onion and garlic cloves, chopped fine.
- Brown onion, then add garlic.
- Now add tomatoes.
- Crush the tomatoes to small pieces.
- Also add half of tomato liquid and dried parsley.
- Cook 10 minutes, covered, then add cleaned wet Swiss chard.
- Cook until tender.
- Serve hot.
