Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bulk sausage
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Method

  • Cook bulk sausage over medium heat until done.
  • Pour out on paper towel and blot to remove grease.
  • Tear 6 slices white bread (stale is fine) into cubes and place in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the bread with the cooked sausage. Sprinkle the sausage with 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese.
  • Beat together eggs, milk, dry mustard and salt.
  • Pour this over sausage mixture.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight, if desired.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
