Ingredients
- 1 lb. bulk sausage
- 1 1/2 c. chopped celery (leaves included)
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 pkg. chicken soup mix
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 3 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 c. uncooked rice
Method
- Brown sausage in skillet.
- Cook celery, onion and green pepper in 2 tablespoons sausage fat.
- Combine soup with boiling water. Combine all ingredients in 2-quart casserole.
- Cover.
- Bake at 350°
- for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover.
- Bake 15 more minutes.
- Makes 6 large servings.
