Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pork sausage (Owens)
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 5 c. crumbled (cooked) biscuits
  • 5 c. crumbled (cooked) corn bread
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth (4 c.)
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Saute sausage, celery and onion.
  • In large bowl, combine sausage mix and remaining ingredients; blend well.
  • Stuff into bird and roast according to standard roasting directions.
  • Mixture may also be baked in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan at 350° for one hour or until lightly browned.
  • Makes about 12 cups or 10 to 12 servings.
